Education for all
The Karma Tutors Impact Fund is a 501(c)(3) serving the learners of rural Southwest Colorado. It was founded by a team of teachers who believed that the undivided attention of excellent educators is a game-changer in student outcomes. They also believed it their responsibility to increase access to that resource for all students.
Since 2020, the Karma Tutors Impact Fund has been realizing that vision by matching students with tutors who make a difference. To date, we have served over 32 learners for almost 800 hours of direct support.
Love for our teachers
We do so much more than increase access for students. We make a difference by paying educators well to do what they do best: teach. So many of our teachers have to rely on second or even third jobs, but our competitive hourly rate allows them to continue putting their energy towards their passion and to earn for it. Think about it: when we reward our amazing educators for their invaluable training and experience, we reward our kids.
Support for our schools
Our model depends on a tight ecosystem of support around each student. We work closely with school districts and students’ teachers to set goals, reinforce class concepts, and align our tutoring sessions with each student’s in-school curricular journey.
We work in tandem to monitor relevant data so we can effectively track student progress, functioning like teammates to teachers. Moreover, we make crucial support recommendations based on our tutors’ observations, ensuring that our students have a village of support.
